Selling hosting
BHPanel has provisioning modules for WHMCS 8 / 9, Blesta 5 / 6 and FOSSBilling 0.8. They create, suspend, upgrade and remove hosting accounts through the panel's API on port 2304, and let customers sign in to the panel straight from the billing system.
None of them holds a password to the server. Each uses an API token from the panel, and a token can do only what its switches allow — a reseller's token reaches only that reseller's customers and plans.
1. Make a token in the panel
- Administrator: Accounts › API access › Create token.
- Reseller: Selling › API access › Create token.
Tick what the billing system may do:
| Switch | Needed for |
|---|---|
| Read | always: the plan list, usage figures and the connection check |
| Create accounts | new orders |
| Suspend and unsuspend | overdue invoices and paying them |
| Change plan | upgrades and downgrades |
| Change password | password changes from the billing side |
| Terminate accounts | cancellations (off by default) |
2. Get the module
In the panel: API access › Billing modules › Download. Each zip is made for your panel's version and has a setup guide inside. Unzip it in the billing system's folder.
3. Add the server
| WHMCS | Blesta | FOSSBilling | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Where | System Settings › Servers › Add New Server | Settings › Modules › Available › BHPanel › Install, then Add Server | System › Hosting plans and servers › New server (Server manager: BHPanel) |
| Hostname | your panel's hostname | the same | the same |
| Port | 2304 (tick "Override with Custom Port") | 2304 | 2304 |
| Token | in the Password field | API token | API token |
Then make a product, pick BHPanel as its module and choose the panel plan it sells.
